In a nutshell: We process your fish photos to identify species using AI. Your photos and chat history stay on your device. We don't store or track your personal data.
What We Collect
📸 Fish Photos
- Photos you take or select are sent to our secure API for fish identification
- Images are processed through OpenAI's GPT-5 Vision API
- Important: Photos are not stored on our servers after processing
- OpenAI does not retain images after analysis completes
💬 Chat History
- Your conversations about fish are stored locally on your device
- We maintain up to 100 chat sessions on your device
- Older sessions are automatically removed to save space
- We cannot access your local chat history
📊 Analytics Data
- Basic app usage statistics (screens viewed, features used)
- Crash reports to help us fix bugs
- Device type and iOS version for compatibility
- No personally identifiable information is collected
📝 Support Logs
- When you contact support, we collect your email address
- Debug logs are attached only if you submit a support request
- Logs help us troubleshoot issues you're experiencing
- Support tickets are retained for quality and training purposes
